A little over a year ago, a group of 35 men and women, all of whom suffer greatly from tinnitus, gathered at the Public Library in London, Ontario. They had come to hear me speak about my experience with tinnitus. What they didn't realize is that I had other motives than to just share my experience. I was completely focused on one goal... to better the lives of each and every person in that room.

What exactly happened at that meeting? Without breaking confidence, I can tell you that many deep emotional wounds were uncovered and the years of tinnitus pain and suffering incurred by everyone there was released in a barrage of tears, laughter and in the end... joy.

What was it that I told them? What was it that caused so many to seek a new beginning? What is this profound knowledge that has been passed to me that can cause you to re-examine your entire life and set you on a new course?

I want to warn you up front that as you read this page you may feel a strong negative tendency to dismiss, distort and delete much of what I'm saying because, what I'm saying does not match your current map of reality.

What is your map of reality? It's what your mind believes to be true. And, what your mind believes to be true is based solely on your past experiences.

However, if you suffer constantly from tinnitus or anything else for that matter, then I say you need a new map of reality. You need to update your map. The reason why you haven't updated your map before is because you didn't even realize you had a map.

I can also tell you that if you do not change your map of reality I can assure you that you will live the same reality you have right now for the rest of your life.

So, what I'm about to do is update your map, giving you a completely new perspective on what is real and what is not. For example; Tinnitus is indeed real. But, the pain you suffer as a result, is not real. While that may be a hard pill to swallow, I can assure you that I am speaking the truth.

You see, every experience that we have gets added to our map. Then when we want to go somewhere, do something, or take some initiative we refer to our map for guidance. The problem is; your map is outdated. The map you have wants to protect you from the unknown, it wants to keep you safe. Therefore, you do not take chances. You keep doing the same things day after day while at the same time expecting a different result. That will not happen.

What I'm proposing dear friends is a new map of reality; one that contains the exact directions to each and every destination. This is a map which, based on my experience, can not only rid you of your tinnitus suffering but can also bring into your life an abundance of the things you truly want. And, all you have to do is trust that such a map exists.

I assure you it does!

For now, let's take a step back and look at my life, the way it used to be. After contracting tinnitus January 6, 1999 my life took an immediate nose dive. Then, after a couple of years of living severe depression while searching for a cure I came very close to suicide. I'm sure you can imagine this because as a tinnitus sufferer we've all wondered at one time or another what silence must be like. I thought that this was the only way to silence tinnitus, by silencing my life.

I was wrong...

In fact, not only did the information that was passed to me help my tinnitus, but it also caused the flood gates of desire to open and for the past several years I have lived a life that few people dare to live. A life full of adventure, music, abundance, friends, family, travel, reward, triumph and happiness. These are just some of the words I use to describe my experiences, there are many more.

Just by following a new map of reality I was able to choose these new words instead of my old negative words. In fact, I used to use words like these; unfair, intolerable, hate, fear, mistrust, misguided, horrible, painful and hopeless.

Can you see the difference in energy between the words? Words have such incredible power. The simple act alone of choosing new words can cause a huge shift in your reality.
